SMU TV Schedule

Postby rbeal31 » Wed Jul 21, 2010 11:04 am

Noticed that SMU has 4 games on CBS College Sports. I don't think I have that channel and I don't want to have to buy the sports package just to watch 4 games!!! is anyone else having the same problem?

if you want to follow CUSA Football Season its a pretty nice channel to have

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

So I am assuming you won’t be traveling to any games with this budget?

No seriously, order it for two months then cancel it I do it every year.

All you have to do is order the channel 5 Min before the game starts and cancel the channel as soon as the game is over. Ya you have to talk to the Cable company for 20 mins but they only charge you about .45 Cents for the channel. They take the monthly price and divide it to get an hourly rate and only charge you for the hours you have the channel. Works like a charm. Do it 4 times a year and it only costs you $2 for the season.

CBS college sports channel comes with most standard cable packages. It is usually buried with a high channel number up in the 200 range. You may already have this channel just take the time to check out your entire range of channels.

Hopefully, this will be the last year we have to put up with obscure cable TV channels. I really appreciated CW33 for picking up the SMU games and having a local broadcast. I think having a local broadcast does more for our program than anything because it allows local kids who aren't necessarily interested enough to acquire additional cable channels to check out SMU football if they are so inclined.

no, b/c as a sports fan i subscribe to the sports package. on top of the four on CBSCS, there are 2 on ESPN (Tech & TCU).

I now have cbs college sports on FIOS (although not the HD version, even though you have to have the HD extreme package to get it. Time Warner and ATT UVerse as well as the dishes have it as well, pretty cheap and a good investment. They always have at least one C-USA game a week and is definitely worth it for SMU fans, a good C-USA basketball schedule as well.

As others stated, you can always watch these games on channelsurfinging.net from a computer or, my favorite, go to a sports bar and have fun with other Pony fans and watch it.

Anyone that can remember that CBS College Sports game with Tulane a few years ago down at that bar on lower greenville know what I am talking about. I mainly went because I did not have that channel and wanted to see the game...Ended up being a great night. I do miss hitting the bar for CBSC games though sometimes, although it is fun to have friends over the house to watch as well.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
