Tulane Game AdviceLooks like I'll be going to a bachelor party in NOLA the weekend we play Tulane, so naturally I'll detour to the Super Dome Saturday afternoon to watch the Ponies with what I imagine will be less than 3,000 of my closest friends. So, I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone can answer.
As far as tickets, are they strict about moving around? I'm thinking about buying some cheap endzone or upper deckers and moving over to the SMU seats. Does anybody have their lodging figured out? I've been to NOLA a number of times and I've done everything from the boutique hotels to the convention type hotels, but I'm not married to any particular spot. I would appreciate it if anyone has knowledge of a nice place with a good deal, otherwise I'll just do hotels.com or some such. Any cool gameday things I should be aware of? Or is it pre-party/tailgate on Bourbon street and then stumble over for kickoff? #NewLobCity
Re: Tulane Game AdviceI have stayed several times at the Inn on Bourbon Street, though it has changed names and brands several times, but it is reasonable and right on Bourbon Street in the middle of the French Quarter.
As for moving around, it didn't appear to be a problem when I went. I will note that if you buy tickets online through their box office, they are so unorganized they will send you emails until the end of time. I have told them to stop a half dozen times, but they keep trying to sell me Tulane tickets. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Tulane Game AdviceIntercontinental has a 'Tulane football' rate if you call. Same weekend as VooDoo festival plus Saints home game so hotel rooms will be dwindling in availability.

Cheap rooms and close to bourban street. Nice B&B and condo rental. I think the rooms start off at about 70 a night
Re: Tulane Game Advice
Any idea what that rate is? I found some Voodoo Fest rates if anyone is interested I can send them the link. JW for under $200/night and Renaissance about $170 I believe. #NewLobCity
Re: Tulane Game Advice
145 w/ a 2 night minimum
Re: Tulane Game Advice
Be a playa were all here including the team
Re: Tulane Game AdviceThis might be one of the best deals you'll find. While I've never stayed there, sounds like pretty good location and the reviews arent too bad.

Re: Tulane Game AdvicePlease, please read the reviews prior to booking, so that you have access to the proper stairwell.
Re: Tulane Game AdviceFor those of you who "do contract work for Shell" the Intercontinental will make rooms available for about $100.
I understand the Drury Inn, across the street from Le Pavillion will do the same. Parking included. Whatever hotel the team has reserved usually provide an excellent rate as well. If it is a 2:30 start, Breakfast at Brennan's would be an excellent choice. Plenty of time for a slow troll to the Dome and make kickoff. From recent experience, the hotels and restaurants have been very gracious to those of us visiting from Texas. Should be a great weekend for all.
Re: Tulane Game AdviceCan I show them your shell I'D???
Re: Tulane Game AdviceDecided on the JW, got a good rate using a "Voodoo Festival" (music festival going on the same weekend) code I found. Let me know if anyone wants to use the code. Rooms are $280 market, and $196 with the code.

Re: Tulane Game Advice
They won't ask. Particularly when you book a Friday. Enjoy.
