ok...now i am still pondering whether i would like to see a big name coach come in like Steve Lavin(ucla) or i liked the Matt Dougherty idea, but Sean Sutton sounds great and there are a lot of up and comers that could do the trick.. but here is the key...
I want one of Copeland's first questions to be ... Will you recruit juco players? SMU has finally allowed that to happen in football and so it should not be shunned by the basketball team
Lets remember about 15 years ago when Pie's [deleted] would allow Larry Johnson to comer here because of his grades and then he goes off to a juco and is national player of the year twice and then goes off to unlv and is the key the one of the greatest basketball teams ever.. the only place he wanted to go to out of skyline was SMU...
Big name or up and comer i want to see some juco guys coming in every year or every other year...
To the contrary, the first question out of every coach who is being interviewed should be "Will I be allowed to recruit junior college players?"
From what I understand, that question is far from settled in basketball and football.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Stallion, I can't remember the specifics but isn't juco recruiting going to tighten up for all schools because of some change? My point is that maybe we only have a short time frame to try and get jucos in. Even if the new coach is told he can go get some jucos I am fearful that most that could help us have already committed for the spring signing period.
