Re: Henry Kapono to play Dallasso I guess he'll either be doing the national anthem or halftime at the SMU-TCU game on the 24th
Re: Henry Kapono to play Dallas
You got it, (I'm guessing.)
Re: Henry Kapono to play DallasJJ mentioned in the Honolulu article posted a week or so back that he was bringing Henry in to sing the national anthem and halftime for a few games this year. Willy K too.
Here it is. http://www.staradvertiser.com/columnist ... t_SMU.html
Re: Henry Kapono to play Dallas
Yeah, saw that. Didn't know about the other gig.
Re: Henry Kapono to play DallasWhen are we going to over this hawaii fetish? Enough already.
Re: Henry Kapono to play Dallas
That's right. Let's get rid of this entire staff! I'm tired of winning already.
Re: Henry Kapono to play DallasI believe that Henry Kapono may be kind of a good luck charm for JJ. I think that he sang the National Anthem for some big games at Hawaii against Pac-10 and other teams...and Hawaii's record was very good in those games even though they were the underdog in almost all of them. So, JJ bringing him in for the TCU game is not a surprise.
If Kapono performs at the TCU game and SMU wins...superstitious SMU fans won't mind Kapono performing at SMU games!
Re: Henry Kapono to play DallasI don't mind JJ bringing him in, but I hope they aren't hoping this will boost attendance. How many in Dallas have even heard of this guy?
"I think Couchem is right."

Re: Henry Kapono to play DallasJust win. I don't care if he coaches in a hula skirt and coconut bra, just win.
Re: Henry Kapono to play Dallas
Wait til they bring in the 3 tons of Waikiki sand for the sidelines. ![]()
Re: Henry Kapono to play Dallas
that would be problematic for Waikiki, since they have to import the sand to maintain that beach as it is
