That running back spot could be filled by true freshman Darryl Fields, who won Oklahoma Class 4A state track titles in the 100-meter dash, the 200 and the 4x400 relay. He smoked Texas Tech signee Delans Griffin in the 200, and made up a huge deficit in the anchor leg of the relay . . .

hope we can come into that game no worse than 6-4. Marshall at Ford is a game we have to win this year.

While most of the (uninformed) blogs and media seem to focus their attention on Fields, especially after his over-the-top performance in the OK state track meet, I'm actually hearing that Pope might make the more immediate impact.
