GUESTS CONFIRMED for next edition of PonyFans LIVE: Aug. 11

Postby PonyPride » Thu Jul 29, 2010 6:48 pm

PonyFans.com is proud to announce the next edition of "PonyFans LIVE!".

The show — brought to you by every Mustang's favorite watering hole Lakewood's 1st & 10, Gameday Cloth and PonyFans.com — the oldest, largest and fastest-growing website dedicated to the SMU Mustangs and PonyFans everywhere — will resume at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11 at Lakewood's 1st & 10 (on the northeast corner of Mockingbird and Abrams in Dallas).

Joining our host — award-winning sportswriter Steve [deleted] (a.k.a. PonyPride) — for the next show will be PonyFans LIVE's special guests: former SMU linebacker Chase Kennemer, whose 135 tackles in 2009 were the third-highest total in Conference USA and tied for 13th in the nation, and SMU defensive coordinator Tom Mason, the architect of the Ponies' much-improved 2009 defense.

PonyFans LIVE will be recorded for broadcast on YouTube.com the day after the show, but to hear the insights of the players and coaches we'll interview throughout the season LIVE, make sure you are in attendance at Lakewood's 1st & 10, which is located on the northeast corner of Mockingbird & Abrams (because you never know what these guys will say after the cameras turn off  ).

Following most shows, we'll have an opportunity for fans to ask questions, shake hands and meet the coaches, former players and other Mustang luminaries. The first show was a huge success, so think of what you want to ask, grab your autograph book and be sure to join us each and every week for the only show in town dedicated solely to SMU athletics: PonyFans LIVE!

I really wish I could be there for this one. I truely enjoyed watching Chase last year and am very impressed with what Mason has done with our defense so far. This year should show even more improvement.

Plus, Kennemer and Mason are both pretty funny guys, and obviously know what they're talking about.
No way I'm missing this one.

There was a replay of the TCU/SMU game on the Mtn a few weeks ago. Kennemer was all over the place, always in position. I'd forgotten how close that game was going into the final minute or so of the third quarter. If we have stellar qb play, the outcome's a tossup.

I have a trip to Dallas scheduled for later that week (Friday). I'm going to see if I can push it forward a couple of days to be there for the show.
Haven't had a Point Burger in a while, and I'm getting the itch to talk SMU football!

Great line up. Mason did well last year and I hope he is able to cover the middle of the D-line this year. We are blessed to have him.
Chase is Chase and yes, both are funny.
I'll try to catch it on you tube while in New Orleans.

Hopefully, there will be a "bouncer" who will duct tape mouths or toss non-interested patrons who talk incessantly and yuck-it-up while the show is in progress. Very annoying + inconsiderate at the first LIVE.

Unfortunately, I observed some of the folks yucking it up and chating during the show were a few Ponyfans who should have known better.

Nope...not intimidating enough...unless, of course, he threatens to sue. 8)
