2010 Football Walk-Ons
There is a thread about Larry Centers Jr. on the football board and someone or several say they did not know about his decision to atttend SMU.
Can anyone put up a complete list of 2010 Football Walk-Ons?

Re: 2010 Football Walk-Ons
technically they can still take a scholarship from another school until they report-and that has happened although its rare. But that's why you usually hear about walkons from friends and family first and not the university

When JJ had Colt Brennan coming to Hawaii as a walk-on he kept things *very* quiet...even then, [deleted] Tomey (former Hawaii head coach with a lot of ties in Hawaii) found out about him and offered Colt a scholarship to San Jose State. JJ was able to convince Colt to walk-on to Hawaii instead of taking the scholarship from San Jose, but for people from families with less money that Colt the scholarship normally would win out.

Colt's cousin was also on Tomey's staff at SJSUGarret wrote:When JJ had Colt Brennan coming to Hawaii as a walk-on he kept things *very* quiet...even then, [deleted] Tomey (former Hawaii head coach with a lot of ties in Hawaii) found out about him and offered Colt a scholarship to San Jose State. Re: 2010 Football Walk-Ons
You are correct--I remember talking with Colt's parents about that last year. I met with them and Hawaii's AD (Donovan) and a few others for some very interesting conversation.kull wrote:Colt's cousin was also on Tomey's staff at SJSUGarret wrote:When JJ had Colt Brennan coming to Hawaii as a walk-on he kept things *very* quiet...even then, [deleted] Tomey (former Hawaii head coach with a lot of ties in Hawaii) found out about him and offered Colt a scholarship to San Jose State. I believe the new walk-ons are a listed in the new media guide player roster. A walk-on from Richardson Pearce, Bardia Karimi is listed. A friend of mine had told me months ago that Bardia had an agreement to walk-on. He is a 6-2, 270, DT who is very strong and a good player but who flew under the radar because of illness and injury his junior and senior years at Pearce.

Youre right because I remember reading about Beau Barnes as a potential walkon a while back. 6'5" DE. Gotta like that!mustangbill67 wrote:I believe the new walk-ons are a listed in the new media guide player roster. A walk-on from Richardson Pearce, Bardia Karimi is listed.
