Terrific story — good find, 89.

Love this quote from 2009 rookie Mike Wallace:

"He has it," Wallace said. "You can see it in him. He has that swagger about himself. He has a great feel for the game. You can see it already. He can find holes [in the coverage], he can run great routes already. He just has the hips to do it."

I like this one:

"Coach Jones' system didn't do anything but help me out," Sanders said. "It taught me how to read coverages on the run, and that's what it takes to be great receiver in this league -- you got to be able to read coverages.

I thought he was going to be so much smaller but after watching practice last week, he sized up well.

My fav. -

"It went real well," Emmanuel Sanders said. "Pacman has a swagger about himself and me being the young guy, he tried getting in my head but it didn't work. I was still getting open and scoring touchdowns against him. I know I have what it takes to go up against NFL corners."
"I'm always going to do things on the highest level. If Coach Jones decides to fire me after this meeting, I'm going to pack my things and drive away at the highest level!" --Coach Frank Ganz

ch3: Jerry, who looks to be the front runner for the #3 WR spot? I know it is early, but have heard some good things about Sanders and Brown (the two rookies). Also El and Battle seem to be serviceable.

Jerry Micco: Judging from Ed and Gerry's Steelers blog on our PG+ site, seems Sanders is making a case for the job, but is locked in a battle with Randle El. I think that will be a battle all through the preseason. My understanding is Brown's strength may be special teams. The same with Arnaz Battle, though one will be the fourth WR, I'd think.
