mainly because of the effect it had on the athletic departments APR. The most significant requirement would appear to be the ACT/SAT requirement of 950. Supposedly no exceptions for Basketball-hmmm-not sure I believe that. It is not really clear the current number or percentage, if any, of Football exceptions. Some interesting numbers to add to the debate. I still think there are substantial number of schools who will not take kids substantially under a 700 SAT under the deemphasized SAT http://blog.al.com/solomon/2010/06/uab_ ... ns_to.html

you've probably discovered the reason why they signed 12 JUCOs last year because all you need to transfer to a Division 1A school from JUCO is an AA degree with only a 2.00 GPA(if you were a non-qualifier out of high school). If the recruit was a qualifier he could be a mid-term transfer. I don't think they even look at SAT/ACT.

I haven't heard of any recruits in the last 2 years where transferrability of JUCO hours has been a major issue. Do you have an example. We've gotten most of those guys in except the convict. We got the GED kid in. The only two guys we lost were Scardino Daniels and that 4 Star SS Ryan Clark last year and neither graduated from JUCO so they were ineligible to play at any Division 1A school. Now there may be issues concerning transferrability of Division 1A transfers, Prep schools and especially diploma mills.

As I (the blog) noted a few years ago, the transfer issue was a school-wide policy issue and not an athletic policy. Accordingly, it was very difficult to change. However, that change was made.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Most Hours don't transfer over making the JUCOs work twice as hard as regular students to make credits up....it occurs with the general population as well..inc. transfers from other fine universities

I remember that kid from Northwestern was going to lose a semester of hours if he transferred.

To go with the above, what juco's SMU has accepted have made the grades . Sometimes selection does help in the long term or at least until the tutor program is up and running correctly.
