If you are a Baylor fan, Austin announced his commitment at the Adidas Tournament and had his family standing with him. He mentioned that his family was the most important thing to him and that he had promised his mother that she would be able to see him play every game, so he wanted to go somewhere close to home.
I believe that they live in Burleson, so if you want to go somewhere D-1 within reasonable driving distance so your parents can attend every home game, that means Baylor, SMU, TCU, UNT or UTA.
Drew's staff has been recruiting Austin since he was an eighth grader, with him attending numerous BU camps. He took another unofficial visit to BU just last week. Baylor took a similar approach with Perry Jones who supposedly gave them a verbal commit while he was a freshman in HS. BU knew Jones was going to be a good recruit at that point, but had no idea that he would blow up on the AAU scene into a Top 5 National Recruit who has a good chance to be a one-and-done.
When he was committing to BU Monday night, he mentioned that he was close friends with Perry Jones. And I am sure Baylor's Elite Eight run last season is helping them quite a bit with their recruiting targets.
I realize you're a Baylor fan - but you've got to be a Baptist, as well. This is typical Baptist bulsh. Go sic yourself.

Considering that Baylor was in the SWC, their athletics programs have actually done pretty well steering clear of NCAA trouble. The one notable exception is their men's basketball program. I can remember at least 3 occassions where Baylor got into big trouble with the NCAA over basketball violations. It seems to happen about once a decade.
Is Baylor cheating today. . .I honestly have no idea. But to go from a near-death experience to where they are now in just 5 or 6 years is pretty amazing. Of course, the same could be said of Alabama football.

Sic em has a graduate degree from SMU and undergrad from Baylor. He is a fan of both schools. We have sat together at games and attended the same Methodist church.

not to mention one of the better employees in the SMU ticket office is a Baylor grad. Don't hate. But yeah, Drew's slimey.
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.
