New drill: one coverage guy taking on a blocker and then expected to get a returner out of bounds. One of the nicer efforts was turned in by freshman safety Hayden Greenbauer, who fought through the block of linebacker Lincoln Schick and still shoved running back/returner Kevin Pope out of bounds.

I did not recall Greenbauer being one of the safetys. Checked the roster and he is listed as "athlete." I guess he got assigned to a position.

Skeleton drills: offense on one end of the field, defense on the other.

Offense is working against air, almost like a walk-through. Extra defensive players are standing in as a mock offense.

Taylor Reed just got his second interception of the day. He had one this morning, and just picked off Jay Scott (standing in as QB) in skeleton defense drills.

Ha — just like Scott, Greenbauer was a QB in high school, and stood in as quarterback in the defensive drills...
