Linebacker Forrest Hagar has left the team to tend to some personal issues. It has not been determined that his departure is permanent, and a return to the team has not been ruled out.

does the "personal issue" involve finding beard and bringning him back as well?

thank you for the info.
I guess I have to retract all that 'not committed' stuff I said. I hope his personal issues are not overwhelmingly serious. let's hope for the best.

on another note: did we recover a scholarship spot when Beard left? is that available to pick up anyone that can help us at this late date?

I think this is a case of over-sensationalizing an incident. It is not uncommon for a college student to leave for a time or miss a semester because they have to take care of personal business. As Pride pointed out, it has not even been determined whether the departure is permanent or whether or not he will rejoin the team in the future.

Like the other player who left (you know, the "instant impact" linebacker), neither player was even on the 2-deep roster at this point, so while their departure may or may not make a difference in the future, I don't think either will have a bearing on the upcoming season.

Right - from everything I have been told, work ethic and commitment have never been a problem. By all accounts, Forrest is a hard-working guy who wants to play, but has something going on that he feels merits his immediate attention.

Don't know the specifics of how that works, but I would assume so. I'll see what I can find out.
