OUTLOOK: The Mustangs were successful beyond their own wildest dreams last season and Jones was obviously the mastermind behind it all. SMU isn't as talented as last season, but there are enough pieces for the team to compete for the postseason once again. Expect Padron to build off his successful rookie campaign, while the defense continues its improvement. In the end, the Mustangs should be above .500, but probably won't be competing for the league title. Though anything is possible after last year's turnaround.
