freakin crazy stuff, but with that latest report from the Salt Lake paper, sounds like its happening. The WAC, MWC remainders, and CUSA are completely destabilized. Things could co in any direction. Air Force could go independent too. what a mess.

Let Houston go to the MWC, and replace them with TCU.

Keep Houston!

Let UTEP Go!

Then maybe BB will 'donate' Marshall to the Big East!

I don't see value in MWC conf with schools like SDSU, New Mexico, UNLV, etc. Those are non-fb schools that are struggling to keep their programs afloat. Why would UH join that conf? Now, if TCU and BSU stay together, and AFA doesn't leave, then I see the value, but still very unstable.

There is no stability in any non-BCS automatic qualifier conference. Any school in any such conference would bolt in an instant for a better situation.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

True. Joe Schad just said on espn that MWC would look to Utep and UH as replacements.

This is actually a really good scenario for us! CUSA should do everything in its power to lure back TCU. Eventually, one of the Eastern schools will bolt CUSA and you move Tulane to the East division keeping the conference at 12 teams.

The WAC should do everything it can to retain Boise State, add UNLV, San Diego State, and New Mexico going to 12 teams. Their membership would consist of:

Hawaii San Jose State
Fresno State San Diego State
Idaho Boise State
Nevada UNLV
New Mexico State New Mexico
Utah State Louisiana Tech

If it wants to it can add:

Wyoming Colorado State

non-football members:
BYU Air Force

The WAC could now be a strong 12-14 team football conference and 14-16 member conference for all other sports. While this number is close to the old WAC that didn't work, this scenario would work because you take away Utah and BYU the two main cogs in the split. Also, aside from Louisiana Tech, most schools would be in close proximity.

if Houston and Utep leave, CUSA West is just SMU and Turners private school buddys in Rice, Tulane and Tulsa. Not good folks, not good at all.

Conferences could actually make some regional common sense if I sense where this is going. Houston ain't going anywhere in this scenario-and TCU will want to come home. Not that I care too mucfh but UTEP will want to play in Texas cities-

This is what I am hoping for. If we can bring TCU back into the fold, that would be awesome. I know it would sting their pride to do it, but if AFA and Boise take off they may not have any other choice. Once they get over the pride thing, its actually a conference that makes a lot of sense and has the potential to be very strong.

One thing's for sure, between the BCS bowl game, the announced stadium renovations, and now this, its been a hell of a year for TCU football!

Why wouldn't TCU just follow BSU to the WAC??

What's the point? It would be TCU and Boise State in the WAC along with everyone else. On the other hand, CUSA would be TCU, Houston, SMU, better travel, and long-standing rivalries.

TCU aint comin home to a bucket full of academic privates. I could see them agreeing to a division of TCU, Memphis, Houston, Tulsa, SMU and Southern Miss or somethiing but i have no idea if thats in the MWC or CUSA. Could shove Tulane back to the east of CUSA. Or could have Utep go west and form a division with New Mexico, Colorado State, Air Force, UNLV and I guess Wyoming. Worst thing would be if TCU agreed to bide its time in the MWC for now with Houston and Utep joining. That leaves CUSA West in shambles.
