Senior tributes

Postby HorsePower » Sun Mar 07, 2004 12:20 am

How could there not be a tribute for the Drumming Cowboy? I think I read that he's graduating. If you're out there, Cowboy, thanks for being so energetic and entertaining. You're an inspiration to all band members and fans. A true showman.

He was honored at halftime along with his fellow Senior Mustang Bandsmen.

I truly appreciate the thoughts and comments. But Rolex was right. I was out there with the rest of my freshmen brothers and sisters, and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I didn't do anything special or outstanding. I just like to play.

I'd like to add that that was one of the coolest Mustang Band moments I've had. I know it was short and dumb and cheezy, but I really felt appreciated for what we do. Thanks to everyone who applauded. But don't worry......Most of those Seniors will be back next year! We may be talented musicians, but we're dumb! Just kidding....

Thanks for showing up spirited and supporting the team. The cheerleaders need some serious help.

I suppose it's a little late now, but I didn't mean to belittle the accomplishments of ALL the Band members or omit anyone. I suppose the Drumming Cowboy gets attention because of his hat and the way he plays, but please understand that PonyFans appreciate what everyone in the band does for the school.
Sorry I missed the tribute. I stepped out at halftime.

I'd like to reiterate this sentiment. Spaz and I were standing next to each other and joked about getting choked up during the presentation. Thanks to everyone.

But unlike SOME people I know, I'm graduating!
