Stallion, First, if BYU left the MWC, TCU is back in pretty much the WAC they left to join, hmm CUSA. Yeah, they have Boise, AFA, but come on, UNM, UNLV, SDS, Wyoming, Fresno, Nevada, CSU? Not what they joined when it had Utah and BYU. And SMU was not the SMU they left to get away from. We have rebuilt our program and in CUSA had they not lost to SMU of the WAC, they would have been in a BCS game. So weigh the two conferences. CUSA, cheaper travel, established rivals, and better bowls, vs. MWC, with the WAC II. As I said, I would rather try and add TCU and AFA (and perhaps UNM), if possible, the rest of the MWC is not worth adding.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

They just migrated to a new platform and server and I think they are having technical problems. Either that or BYU has unleashed a cyber-attack.

Now we need a school to go the independent route in Europe and Australia.

Seriously? Louisiana Tech? I can think of about 8 teams I would put ahead of them.

Does this guy have a drinking problem?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

From a UH posters who apparently is reputed to have inside sources-again more along the lines of creating a new conference which is what I prefer although I'd probably stop before 12:

My other sources highly placed with other schools affected by this as well as ESPN says that U of H is the next target. They are looking to build a 12 team conference. Lots of bucks for ESPN with a playoff. I have heard no mention from any source that Hawaii is being considered. There are some other familiar names on the list in addition to us but as I said we are at the top of the list. I feel good about this although I have in the past been concerned about travel expense. But if this aligns the way I am hearing we will have enough schools close by to make this feasible. Plus the powers that be feel there is no way this conference would not be a BCS conference.
As usual the luncheon was top flight in food and service and our staff should be complimented for their work.

As long as we have a chance of ending somewhere other than the WAC or Sunbelt

Well there are only so many schools close to UH, and I'd bet quite a bit that Rice, UTSA, Texas State, Tulane, and Tartleton State won't be included...and of course UT, A&M, Texas Tech, OU, OSU all have happy homes. So, by process of elimination that would leave UTEP, TCU, SMU.

ESPN is an evil monstrosity, but hopefully, this time, they can be our evil monstrosity and help us out.

what the heck could it be that is "likely" to be an AQ conference? Doesn't seem plausible. Best they could do in my view is assemble a league that stays under consideration for AQ in the future. that means keeping BYU .

When the UH poster states that "they are looking to build a 12 team conference", is he referring to the MWC adding a 12th member? Or is he implying that ESPN and whoever else are looking to create an entirely new conference with 12 teams?
