I have no basis for this statement other than a gut feeling, but somehow I just have a feeling that the hire will be someone who hasn't even been mentioned yet on this board.
there are probaly plenty of guys out there holding assistant jobs who can and will do a good job when they get a program of their own. As badly as SMU needs to have some life pumped into this program, I'm guessing Copeland wants a guy with a gung ho, rah-rah type of infectous personality. I think that was part of why he liked Bennett. Who fits that bill on the basketball side?
