Special teams drills are over. Offense running skeleton drills (against backups standing in as defenders), and defense has broken into positional drills.

Secondary going through a drill in which coach Derrick Odum throws a high pass toward a backpedaling DB, who then gets belted by a G.A. with a large foam blocking pad. Several guys got knocked off their path toward the ball, but transfer safety Justin Sorrell twice fought through "block" to make nice catches.

Not the clearest photo, but you get the idea.

Thanks a lot for the pic. Is the big board on? Can't wait to see that thing in action.

The North endzone "ribbon" board is disappointing, kinda looks like the starter kit. Would be cool if the whole length of both endzones had the ribbon boards. Not to mention another board on top of the 200's section in the North Endzone to compliment the South (Not as big as the South).

Not my money, but that's what I would do.

Jersey numbers once again are mixed up for some guys in the second practice of the day, but it looks like J.J. McDermott standing in at safety again. Looks like he really wants to hit someone.

That smaller one will probably be used for advertisements.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I would assume so.

Looks like they have new play clocks, too — the one that's on looks easier to read.

Apparently the defensive linemen are throwing for distance on the sideline. Marquis Frazier and Taylor Thompson just threw 50-yard strikes.

Did Hunt spin around in a circle before he threw the spiral?

Margus Hunt should have a great arm with all that training he did this summer!! Hopefully he will get a chance to show that talent this season!

haha I don't know how much I would like to see Margus in the offensive backfield (our own, he can hang in the oppositions backfield all day for all I care) but that would be pretty cool to see June use him once... Maybe try something like Bama would do with "Mount" Terrence Cody
