I HOPE THIS ISN'T IT, but I do know that they are supposed to be announcing who their starting QB is tomorrow.

I'd be furious if I was a Rice alum and they posted that with all that is going on and followed it up with who the starting qb is.

Hopefully they know something and it is related, because if it is good for them it has to be good for us.

I am well aware of our troubles in beating Rice...not as if I've been living in a cave with fingers in my ears for 20 years. Of course, many, many teams have listed us as their cream puff year after year. How many "Homecoming Games" have we been designated as since, say, 1991? That's a stat I'd like to see, actually. That alone doesn't make Rice unique at all. Moving forward, I consider them to be dead weight. I expect that we will invest every effort to make sure that year in and year out, from now on, team's like Rice will be considered a given from the fans' point of view. Now that we have decided to stop wandering aimlessly in the desert, I have wants and ambitions as a fan.
