Merger won't happen if UH leaves to MWC. MWC would take UH in hopes to wait to qualify as an AQ'er.

Re: Houston to MWCexactly
Re: Houston to MWCI'm not too worried about it. The MWC was just turned down by Utah State. TCU fans are now clamoring for UH, a school they've spent the past decade looking down on. And Reno, really? I don't see the appeal there. 17,000 fans per game (sounds like us) and a terrible TV market. I would bet a lot of money that the MWC never becomes AQ with that lineup. They are top-heavy and it's going to be next to impossible for those schools to maintain their pace in the long run. Some of their down programs could improve, but who are the candidates to improve a lot? I don't see them.
We'll figure something out.
Re: Houston to MWCWhere is the purple hippo? I have a bad feeling and hope to be proven wrong?
Re: Houston to MWCWhy would HOU want to travel like that with LESS revenue.
CBSSports is going to pull the MTN contract b/c no Utah/BYU. MWC is even FURTHER away now than before. You think TCU has travel, imagine the great rivalries of: Hou-NM Hou-UNR Hou-FSU Hou-BSU It was bad when TCU went for this exact reason that is happening now. Why would Houston want to get into that mess?
Re: Houston to MWCWhat is the great appeal of Houston to the MWC? I am not bad mouthing Houston, but I don't understand their appeal. They avg 22K attendance per home game. Do they draw any real attention in the Houston TV Market? Historically they are not a great program. Last year and this year are probably the best teams they have had since Andre Ware. What is their great appeal to the MWC?
