Several people I have talked to just said they are going to buy walk up tickets, mainly because they don't need season tickets yet. They have been teased and burned by teams past that they are tentative to invest after only one great season.....sissies. Hopefully, it will be harder for them to sit where they want with the walk ups due to ford being more filled.

Will be interesting to see the jump again next year if we go bowling again, assuming the conf changes don't kick us in the b@lls.

This plays a big part as well, I know several like this. They go to pretty much every SMU home game but there is no need to buy Season Tickets, you can always buy an endzone seat, then go sit very near to the 50 yard line where all the "true" fans with season tickets should be.

Just no need to lock yourself into season tickets, go to the game, buy a cheapie and sit wherever the hell you want. When the good seats are completely full with people that not only buy season tickets, but go to the game, more will come on board and take the plunge so they can have better seats.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

I still think kiosks on the Blvd was a great idea last year. Like Stallion mentioned, there are likely thousands of non-season ticket holders on the blvd. If I were one of those, I'd probably think twice if it was going to be a 30-45 minute ordeal to get a ticket

the ticket office is overloaded it sounds like. A booth/kiosk is an excellent idea though.

agreed. if they put it out in the middle of the blvd, i could see people picking them up over the course of tailgating. just keep an eye on the booth and cruise by when the line is low. saves having to walk up and either miss tailgating to go early or miss game b/c of lines.

Mobile Ticket Booth via Golf Cart. Credit Card only. Get one of those scanners that Southwest Airlines uses for drinks. Just drive slowly up and down the blvd.

Bringing the tickets to the people seems like a no brainer. If thats what it takes to fill the stadium we need to do it.

They'd be better off getting season tickets at $72 for the season than have to worry about standing in line and hassles. $12 bucks a game...no brainer.

25 years of futility takes a toll. Add in that last year's very successful team lost some key players. One can understand the wait and see crowd. The best way to improve season tickets is to sell out some key games. Sell out TCU and UH (assumes we win and they win and it is a big game) and folks then begin to wonder if the risk of missing big games is worth not getting season tickets.

I think the Tech game did that for UH last year.
