and I certainly wouldnt predict a win thurs., but if Hopkins can continue to ride this all-wac team snuff and play like this, we have a chance against nevada

I'd rather play Nevada over UTEP, Hawaii or Rice at this point. We've beaten them once already and seem to matchup better against them than the other top teams. Gotta keep Snyder in check, as well as Fazekas and Okeson. I think we'll have to have another player step up because you can't count on Hop to go off for 30 (although he's certainly capable of it with the way he's been playing lately) and Simpson for 20. Hop and Snyder might cancel each other out so it will come down to which teams other guys step it up.

Nevada is playing well. They have only lost 2 games out of their last 13. They do like their home court and most of their losses are on the road so maybe the Ponies can keep it close in Fresno. They are very tough to beat when things are clicking. Let's hope we get the same contribution for Simpson and another nice game from Hop. Defense is the key to this one.

THAT is the Hopkins we signed two years ago. If he plays like that Thursday, we're beating Nevada, too.
