Pony fans may be interested to know that Robert was a standout football and basketball player in High School. All State QB and shooting guard.
He went on to a solid basketball career at Roanoke College.
Robert's father is a Hall of Fame high school coach with over 300 wins. His younger brother Wayne is offensive coordinator for the University of Richmond football team and his cousin Mike Young is the head basketball coach at Wofford in Spartanburg, SC.
Hes done a great job in a tough situation. Lots of people have noticed I think. I hope to see him stay at SMU somehow, but wish him the best in whatever the future holds for him.
