Hats off to the staff!

I wish all the coaches well, they did a good job in a tough situation. We were totally killed on the boards today, almost doubled up! Shot a pathetic 26% in the second half. While I can appreciate the effort the two departing seniors gave, I won't miss all of their turnovers, missed shots, and blown defensive asignments. It really hit home how far we've fallen, when the ESPN announcers kept saying "when you let a team LIKE SMU hang around". When we take solace in the way we "lost" games at the end of the season, means we have lowered the bar to all time lows! These wern't top 25 teams we we playing in the WAC folks! I'm with Stallion here guy's, if don't expect much....you won't get much!!!

Or you can look at it this way: we played badly, shot poorly, got smoked on the boards .... and still were in it until there were just a few minutes left. Had we shot the ball halfway decently, we just might have won.

AL, you nailed it when you praised the coaches for the way they performed in a situation that could be called nothing better than difficult. A very stiff test, and despite the record, I'd say the coaches came out looking like winners. Many thanks to Coach Lineburg, Coach Brickey and Coach Crawford for all their effort and energy, and for everything they taught our players, knowledge that will benefit the players down the road.

Good luck to all as you leave for newer, if not greener, pastures. Remember, you can always sell insurance.
