Pretty much in-line with most of their other comments. Fairly ignorant. Definitely on the [deleted] side. You know, very Texas Tech-y.

And y'all wonder why Tech fans will be so hostile by Saturday. Watch your backs.

Trust me, we will. Because only a Tech fan would attack you from behind. At least all of my fights involving SMU guys in college took place face-to-face.

Wow...love ya'll as well.

For the ones that wanted to know the listing of bars. Ck the link here...I guess some of that great conformed SMU education gets in the way and you can't read properly. Just like agholes, quick to judge Lubbock and Texas Tech.

....."For the college age MUSTANGS and SINGLES that are coming in for the game, then check out Lubbock's Depot District:"
http://lubbockhospitality.com/Depot/

This link will give you all the infomation on bars you might want.

Also the aroma of the feedlots. I would rather have a organic "smell" than the orange haze and humidity rot of Smog any day. At least 99% of the days here in God's Country we have crystal blue skies and fresh air.

The one that posted about Tech's fan base being "unhappy" or such dribble. It appears here, the replys to the original post that was mearly a welcome, well the SMU fan base appears to be the bitter and unhappy ones.

Tech is very close to Tier 1 as far as the University is concerned. Last time I checked SMU wasn't even considered. SMU is a over rated school with a fan base of about 1,000. See Texas Tech last few visits to Ford Stadium. 25,000+ Tech people, the rest of the 30,000 were free ticket admissions and the few die hard SMU alums that hope someday SMU can return to the glories of the SWC. Yeah right.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KyBYEk-DbE

Maybe the haters and snobs who have posted here are Aghole lovers, or maybe they are so insecure about going out to big bad Lubbock, or just jealous they are at a school with not much or no school spirit at all.

SMU, your SMU. You are a W in the win column for Tech on the way to a September date with Texas.

Oooo the big bad Tech fans booed when playing the SMU school song. This is the BIG 12, not Conference WHO -S-A.. Big 12 equals sold out stadiums, a rabid fan base not apathetic fan bases and little or no attendance like conference USA. Grow a pair. If you only see what I see when I go to aother BIG 12 or SEC venues. You pansies would really have a stroke.

Oh and the one hater who posted that SMU is in a conference they are about to outgrow. LOLOLOLOL You have got to get a fan base before any major conference will look at you!

I would take a little booing instead of this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1-QMYFBxhw

I suggest some of ya'll take note of the warning that Tech fans will not tolerate nor allow Tech to be downgraded nor Lubbock, or West Texas by a bunch of pansies like the haters on here. Say some of that at the game. You will get what you deserve.

TECH WINS! Get used to it!

1. I'm not one to talk typo smack, but clearly you think the term is "dribble." It's 'drivel.'

2. Booing would be one thing. F...U...SMU is something else. Not to mention grandmothers and grandfathers encountering physical violence. Yes, it happened.

Anyway, again, appreciate the Lubbock primer.

Still hope you guys whip the whorns, or as Coach Knight said, "beat their asses."

That's Carnegie Research ratings. We prefer our faculty to teach things to students, such as when to use commas (between "checked" and "SMU).

U.S. News and world report rankings: SMU #56. Tech...#159. Thanks for playing.

Well, Mr 3rd largest city in the Big XII, I understand that trips out to the Tahoka Highway are no longer necessary to buy alcohol. True?

Have you ever heard swing your sword?

Find a real ranking of universities that puts Tech above SMU. Don't even think about Carnegie, because the only way you will get "Very High Research Activity" on there is if the state decides they want to support you over the great institutions known as UH and UTSA.

If your fans are oh-so-friendly, why did the Tech band feel compelled to stand around the SMU band to protect them from your fans in 2006?

In regards to the booing of the alma mater, I've been to games all over the country, including many Big 12 and SEC venues, and Tech fans are the only ones with too little class to see what is wrong with that. Boo the fight song, etc. etc. etc. all you want, but when a song is played that represents the entire institution of higher learning, it's pretty pitiful to boo. Later on, your life may just depend on research conducted at that institution of higher learning, so don't boo it.

Like I've said before, I've had a lot of Tech people in my family including some players. I know all about Tech and Lubbock, and I disagree with some of your characterizations. It's a shame that you can't accept any criticism of your ideas.

Your kidding right? Man you sound like a aggie. I have been to SMU campus for all the Tech games played there. All I can say to this crap you vomited is "Glasshouses". During the Tech school song all I heard from the spoiled childeren you call students there is Tech Sucks, Tech Sucks. What goes around comes around. Can't take it? Stay away from a BIG 12 stadium. Ever been to UT? Tech fans are docile compared to that place.

I guess you were there in 2006? Sure you were. My son was in the band and I asked him just now and he said that is [deleted].

What other aghole lies you got. Let's see, cars are keyed, tires are slashed, grandmothers in wheelchairs pushed over and down the ramps, or just that you were pelted by over 100 batteries?

Your argument about Tech, UH and UTSA is worthless. Ck out the papers. Tech is next in line. UH being our main challenger, and rightfully so. They are a good and deserving of TIER 1 satus.
