From what I've read, the offense's success this week will fall on these three. Fresno's defensive strength is on the right side -- meaning SMU's offensive left side -- so it will be up to these fellas to open some holes for ShanD, Keylon K., and throwing lanes for Page.

Chandler hasn't started the past couple of games. So if it's up to him, someone is injured.

Re: McCarthy, Slaten and Chandler
The key will be the interior of the line. Chandler/Reindl at center, and McCarthy. Fresno State DT Alan Harper (6-2, 285) is one of the premier DTs in the country, and he flip-flops between the right and left side. He's exceptionally quick - kind of like a poor man's Warren Sapp. Whichever side he lines up on, he'll draw double coverage from the guard and center, which will be necessary, since he generates enough interior penetration to lead the team with 10 QB sacks. Harper is a beast who's hard to handle, and controlling him could lead to a big day for the SMU offense. If he runs free and collapses the pocket, look for limited production from the SMU running game and look for Page and/or Luker in the trainers' room after the game.
