Womens schedule

Postby Balatro Diabolus Ex » Sat Sep 11, 2010 12:49 pm

The 2010-2011 Womens basketball schedule is set now, The Lady Mustangs open at home against Utah on Nov. 12th, then travel across town to TCU on the 17th. Kansas will visit Moody on Dec. 4th. SMU will host its annual Thanksgiving weekend tournament again this year, and at Christmas they will make a trip to Las Vegas to play in the Travelers Basketball Classic. SMU will play Univ. of Texas in the first round, followed by South Florida, and UNLV. This will be the first time SMU has played the Lady Longhorns, since the breakup of the SWC. The December schedule also includes North Texas, UTSA, and SFA. South Florida and SFA were both NIT teams last year, and UTSA made the NCAA tourney in 2009. In January SMU will travel to Wake Forest for their final non-conference game, and then start C-USA play at Tulane on January 6th.

Wouldn't it be nice for the men to have a schedule like this?

Surely someone progressive enough to refer to North Texas State as it's current name — North Texas — also can acknowledge that "Mustangs" are not a gender-specific mascot. We have been the Mustangs (not Lady Mustangs) for more than a decade.

That's an impressive schedule. Hopefully we can get some good experience, and come through without too many losses. It should get us more than ready for conference games though, and if we can do well in conference we should have a decent RPI.
