Someone actually is circulating the rumor that SMU will make a run at Highland Park coach Randy Allen. Puh-leeze. The man has won almost all his regular season games, and has gone 0-fer in the playoffs. He has only one D-I player on his roster (OL Kyle Williams) and he's headed to the west coast. His style will not work with college athletes. You almost never see a high school head coach get a college head coaching gig - coordinator, maybe, but not the top spot. If former HP coach Scott Smith wasn't ready to be a college head coach (he's now an assistant at Baylor High), Randy Allen sure isn't ready.
