Recruiting Question

Postby mrydel » Wed Apr 07, 2004 8:33 am

Help out an ignorant but loyal fan. I am aware that there are two signing times for Basketball, but unaware as to when they are. When is the next date for signing basketball recruits, and and the date subsequent to that. Thanks in advance for the response.

Basketball signing periods are in mid-November and mid-April. The next signing date is April 15th, and the one after that would be in the fall. SMU currently doesnt have any scholarships to offer.

good to see you surface, X. Should we take it that with your hibernation, or maybe i should say nesting, that you were indifferent to the bball coaching hire?

Thank you for the answer Prof X. I thought there was an upcoming signing period that no one seemed interested about. I did not know that we had no scholies to offer.

Mrydel-- You're welcome.

Hoop fan-- I was not and am not indifferent. Hiring Jimmy Tubbs was the first intelligent move around SMU in a long time. I've known Jimmy for many years, (although I've never reccieved one of those notorious Christmas cards everyone kept carrying on about) and I have a great deal of faith in what he can accomplish. I just didnt see any point in arguing about it on this forum.
I dont feel like arguing, and I'm under a bit of pressure at work to get some results ready for publication. Thats why I dont visit as much.
