Padron: Improved, still inconsistentPadron looked much better for most of the game. Still has a ways to go.
It's so hard to see from the stands, but I heard several remark that Padron seems to be locking on his receivers. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistent
Compared to what? He was 14-35 for 169 yards. Dunno how much is him and how much is the loss of ES. If he does not improve this year, I hope there is real competition next year, but by whom....a RS Freshman?
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistentI think, there's probably a few things that KP is not doing well. I'm just hanging on until he reaches that point when he 'gets it'.
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistenti don't know, wasn't impressed by the play calling honestly. i dont know how many times padron is under massive pressure and receivers are streaking down the field with their backs turned until the last second.
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistentI don't understand why we don't run more quick slants

Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistentThe interception was vintage BLM.............

You have to factor in the opponent. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistent
not really, beasley saw at the last second he could get behind the defense, hesitated slightly and padron threw the ball when beasely hesitated. they almost were on the same page for an improvised play. it was an all out jail break what do you want the kid to do. he honestly protected the ball well.
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistent
not quite, I don't think. Beasley was spinning away from the defender to get to an open space, just as KP released the pass to the spot he had been in (and, both were scrambling to save a play). as I recall, BLM would throw the ball directly to the defender after forgetting jersey colors.
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistenthoop fan.....great minds, eh?
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistentJust saw on ESPN that we basically doubled the offensive output of anybody that has played TCU to date. Padron ain't right; I think we all see that. Some of that is the two opponents we have faced in our losses.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistentHopefully we'll see something different next week. Fortunately for us his biggest challenges are behind him and I think we will see him steadily build confidence throughout the season after being tested so early.
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistent
indeed.
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistentBLM, give me a break. Have you no memory. Padron is going to be just fine.
Opposing d-coordinators now have 10 games of film on the kid. He has not yet adjusted to being game planned. He has no productive over-the-middle receiver. His 5-9 WRs are invisible running through BCS-level secondaries. He is basically relegated to out routes, which are INT risks; passes to the flat; and deep balls. Let's just see how we feel once he's had a chance to go against C-USA. I expect good things and some real progress by late this season.
Re: Padron: Improved, still inconsistent
well said. did we go over the middle once all night? really miss shawbrey as that safety valve too.
