Jonas Rutledge
Our man had another excellent game. INT for a score, many tackles and a bunch of passes defended.
However .... can someone please tell ol' #3 to wrap up his tackles? RogersHealy, you're friends with Jonas, aren't you? He dfoes so many things so well, but -- for the love of the Ponies -- wrap up a tackle! He's starting to look Deion Sanders out there, and that's not a comparison I'd want to wish on ANYONE. I counted at least three times when he dove, shoulder-first, to stop someone. Jonas -- Wrap Up your tacklers!

Re: Jonas Rutledge
No kidding. Jonas is on the verge of becoming a great player - but you can't be great on defense until you're a great tackler. We've seen him do it earlier this year
We need to see it every week, JR.

Yeah, he could stand some tackling work but look where he came from. Last season he missed just about all his tackles. I'm just glad he's made such a drastic improvement. I know next season there will be no stopping him. Go #3!

There's more to come with Jonas? Can't wait! Jonas is a stud, and he's still young. Let it all out, Jonas.

I cant wait until next year, when Jonas is a Heisman candidate. That would be so great for him and the school. Picture it now, a heisman trophy winning cornerback, who plays special teams and SHOULD play reciever. Can you say Charles Woodson. Boo ya.

Wasn't it Wesley Medlock who arrived at SMU last year and announced his goal was to win the Heisman?

Re: Jonas Rutledge
And I like rogershealy's idea of playing WR, too.
There's another former SMU player, who wore #3, played DB, WR and returned kicks, and now plays in the NFL - Jacoby Rhinehart.
Who's better, Coby or Jonas? I think Jonas, and if he adds a few more pounds, he and Kevin Garrett are both going to get drafted!
