John Hamton's Remarks about Amon Carter Stadium & Gary Patte

Postby schlotz » Sun Sep 26, 2010 4:17 pm

Did John Hampton color analyst on the Ticket really say Amon Carter Stadium was a toilet and Gary Patterson was ugly, Fat and stupid on 1310 the Ticket's broadcast of the game Friday?

AC, by modern standards, is not attractive. If one has an undying love for all that is 1920s, then AC is OK. And Patterson is more than likely to hit the obese parameters. As for stupid, there I have to disagree. Winning is never stupid.

All of those things, my father and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this particular commentary and we had a good laugh after.

Nice! I would expect nothing less from one of our former players.

just a thought but I'm guessing JJ doesnt have the same kind of rep that precedes him. Patterson's a good coach but a little coachspeak goes a long way. He doesnt have to Lou Holtz it (e.g. "New Mexico's the best 0 and whatever team that's given up 72 in one game in America) but comments like "those people" and the door to door thing don't do you any favors.
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

For the record, I never said Patterson was stupid.

And I never said Amon Carter was a toilet, just that the Armed Forces committee would be eating a steak this bowl season instead of beans

If we correctly get the fumble call and Kerley doesn't save him, he might be trying to justify a loss

Seriously, watching patterson on the sidelines leaning over and constantly hitching up his pants on his fat a#s looked liked Chris Farley and "the van down by the river" routine. Seriously!

Okay...if SMU doesn't snap the ball off of an up-back on a punt, etc...

There are always a lot of ifs in every game.
