Post Game Buses to Mockingbird Station?

Postby Special_Delivery_Smu_Fans » Mon Sep 27, 2010 1:48 pm

Did anyone else experience no return buses after the game to Mockingbird station? Several fans from our group said there were no buses to be found after the game in the spot they regularly catch them. They had to walk back to Mockingbird Station. It was ok with them, but they said they ran into a disabled guy who was struggling that was quite unhappy the buses did not appear to be running after the game?

The UAB game the drop off and pick up changed from Moody to an area by the Doak Walker statue. For the TCU game they dropped off up by Dallas Hall and said that is where they would pick up. I decided it was easier to walk to the station rather than walk to Dallas Hall and wait in line. If your friends did not ride the bus to the game, they may not have realized the changes. Regardless, construction has apparently changed the routes.

They did ride the bus over and said it was a different route and drop-off. They said they went to the exact place they were dropped off and no buses and then they went back to the old spot and no buses. Sounds like it was a bit confusing. Oh well no biggie. Maybe they had too much to drink, but they said the disabled guy was not happy.

There is a good possibility that they did change. I thought I saw a bus at the previous weeks pick up near Doak Walker, but decided to walk anyway. I am not sure they have their routes correct. They had a different pick up spot at Mockingbird for the first time in 5 or 6 years. It still works best for me but it seems like with all the construction going on in the eastern side of the campus that the routes are up in the air.
