Same here. Shut him down like we did to UAB's Isabelle.

in the past we would have lost this game. hopefully the guys can put tcu behind them and get pumped for this one. it's a very important game. can't afford to lose it.

Right you are, Nacho.

This game scares the hell out of me, and I hope the Ponies aren't taking Rice lightly. Not to go all Al Davis on everyone, but the margin is irrelevant. Just win, baby.

I just went back and checked the 2005 schedule.

We lost 66 - 8 the week after TCU. How could I have forgotten that one!?

Your lips to god's ear. Our history with Rice is not good - especially in Houston.

GO MUSTANGS BEAT RICE

In our history we have fielded much worse teams then the one we have presently. Without being overconfident I think the Mustangs should be able to take care of business on Saturday.

There is no question we should and need to take care of business. We are much better than Rice, BUT we have a history of remaining flat and overconfident after a loss like TCU. This time we have a different team and coaching staff. I am counting on that to make all the difference.

I'd like to see Kyle and the WR click for an entire game. I think we win by two TD's.

I think that is the most likely way we will win, but I would personally like to see Line run a train over them. It's been a nice change of pace having a big bruising running back

I think we need a game under our belts where we get a minimum of 300 yards passing. That would go a long way to building up Kyle's confidence, and getting in synch with some receivers. We've had opportunities to connect on some long bombs so far this year, and the ball is just not quite there.

I just want us to play like we are capable of playing for all 4 quarters of the game. That to me was the most relieving thing about the bowl game last year. We played as well as I thought we could possibly play.

I still have difficulty understanding how big a favorite we are in this case; hope the "experts" are right, but given the way we have played Rice in recent history (including last year), I can't say I'm going into this game very optimistic...perhaps "cautiously" optimistic?

We're already 1-0 in conference play, and at this early point in the season, our goal of getting to the conference title game and winning it is still there. That is what this team has to keep in mind week in and week out to keep the Ws rolling in. While we are more talented than Rice and maybe other teams on our schedule, we are simply not good enough yet to come out flat and still expect to win. As stated already, putting away teams we're suppose to beat on a consistent basis is what will get us recognition and take the program where we want it to be.

The talent will show in the second half as we are equal in the depth and the early season prepared the team well for CUSA...it will be 21 points plus over Rice.

I wouldn't worry about a let down with this team unless we start running up scores on people.

Our front seven will keep every game close. I think we breakout offensively in the second half and turn a close game into a comfortable win.
