Worst Coach? Hopefully, this is a sarcastic comment..I could think of at least 10 coaches off the top of my head who are worse. UGA has been killed by injuries, a non-existent running game since Knowshon left, and terrible terrible coordinators.
Perhaps "worst coach in the country" is a bit of hyperbole, but he has taken a top tier SEC team with local tallent gallore, and every other advantage at their finger tips and turned them into an also ran with losses to S. Carolina & Mississippi State.

Lest we forget he made UGA a top tier SEC team. Jim Donnan, his predecessor drove the program into the ground in the late 90's. Although I am from/live in Atlanta, I do not root for the 'dawgs, but it is sad to see such a fall from grace over the past two years. With that said, they are starting a red-shirt freshmen at QB, Aaron Murray, and were without their big-time play maker AJ Green. They have 4 winnable games coming up with colorado, Vandy, Kentucky, and Tennessee on the slate. If they win those 4, which they should I think Richt will have a little wiggle room before they get their doors blown off by the Gators.

To be fair to him, when Donnan left, UGA wasn't exactly top-tier in the SEC. Richt has had a lot of success at UGA.

His record was 40–19 overall, and 25–15 in conference, but he only beat Florida once, and lost to rival, Georgia Tech three straight times. That just does not cut it. Not to mention, he never won a SEC-East division title.

I went to two SEC championship games in Atlanta, both with Georgia the de facto 'host' team. The first one Georgia lost; the second one UGA was impressive, athletic, and lights out speed. That was the year prior to, I believe, they played Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl. How they didnt build on all of that escapes me.

UGA hasn't played in the SEC champ since '05 (the year they played the Sugar Bowl in ATL, and lost to WVU 35-28). It's crazy they are getting top recruiting classes, just not turning them into studs. Although, UGA was pre-season number 1 two years ago...
