i don't know about the logic behind the blue-out. i get it when playing TCU so that you show solidarity among your fan base w/ the contrasting color, but when playing a team who's primary colors are Red & White, i would think we would want a red-out then too, makes it look like the crowd is overwhelmingly for the home team, since the purpose if to show support to the guys on the field when they look up in the stands.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

I don't think June will wear blue again. I have a feeling the Houston game will be the debut of the black jerseys and it will be a "black-out".

has there ever been a ticket booth on the boulevard? To me it would make sense to set up a booth between the north and south part of the boulevard to sell tickets 3 or 4 hours before the game. this would help cut down some of the last minute rush at the ticket office.

Beginning with the Wash State game, they have set up a table under the flagpole on the blvd to sell tickets. For Wash State, they were discounted at $10 for endzone seats. I was able to convince a few people at the law school tent to buy tickets and check out the game. I saw the same table there last week during the TCU game. I am assuming they were selling lawn seats. A friend of mine told me the guy at the table said they were planning on selling tickets under the flag pole for the rest of the season.

Posted this in some other thread a few days ago, but we won't come close to 20k, much less 25k, for Tulsa for two reasons:
1. It's the day of the first Rangers home playoff game. 2. It's fall break and the students empty out of campus beginning on Thursday.

Why do students need a Fall break?? I recall having off Thanksgiving and the day after as the only break in the Fall semester. Give the kids one less week of instruction for their high tuition. Now I get it; the new economy semester.

I'll say 16-18k, maybe 20k at the most - Tulsa has brought a sizable chunk of fans down here in the past, and then Fall Break will cut down on the students, sadly. At least it won't be like the 30 people who showed up for Wash St.
Will be nice when the norm is having to actually sit where my ticket says I'm supposed to sit.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

Most likely Wed/Fri away and then Sat/Sun at home. I guess we'll find out this weekend the times etc.

Wazzu brought a few people hundred to their game. UAB brought exactly 28 people as I met and thanked each one of them.

Oy... The university calendar is set a year in advance. The conference schedules conference games about six months in advance. In other words, there is no way we can control this sort of thing.

not sure why fall break has to be scheduled a year in advance, but fine, i'm pretty sure you could make a request of the conference not to have a home game on a certain weekend if fall break is so set in stone.
