Recruits at the Red/Blue game

Postby BleedingRed+Blue » Sun Apr 18, 2004 2:01 pm

Was anyone else as pleased as I was to see all the recruits at the game yesterday? There were a bunch of 2004 signees (Cortley Blackmon, Wilton McCray, Kyle Griffin, David Henderson, Tony Hawkins, Andrew McKinney, among others) in attendance, but there were tons of high school guys with nametags running around.

I could only read a couple of tags, but I managed to remember a couple of names and search them on the Internet. Among the many in attendance:

--> Casey Brunson
Offensive lineman
Ht: 6-6 Wt: 285 40: 5.2
High School: Mansfield HS (Mansfield, TX)
(Size/speed from Insiders)

--> Zachary Allen
Offensive lineman
Ht: 6-2 Wt: 275 40: 5.36
High School: Memorial HS (Edmond, OK)

Biography:
Was named First-Team All-City as a junior this past fall. Finished the season grading out at an average of 90%, having a high of 96% in one game and low of 82% in one game.

Schools of Interest:
Iowa State, Kansas State, Mizzou, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU
(Size/speed from Insiders)

--> Rashad Lee
Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX - I think)
Not sure what position he plays, and I couldn't find him on the internet.

Those linemen mentioned here -- are they good, or just big? Anyone know what schools are after Brunson?

BTW since I've seen it three times already-its CB David Haynes and RB Jessie Henderson. There is no David Henderson.

To address the post asking about if the two linemen are highly recruited/Good. I have no Idea

If we don't start taking some chances on BIG MEN and develop SIZE on both lines- No one else matters.

WE need 10 to 12 BIG MEN this season. Red Shirt them all. Get the 270's to 290 and Ge the 320's to 300. Coach Faucette can do that!!!

What do we do with 291 to 299? Should we still go after them?

You then consider yourself lucky and think about giving that man some freshman playing time.

See - two DT's from last years class.

You knew that
