Just noticed that TCU is a 33 1/2 point favorite on the road over Colorado St. Don't know much about CSU this year, but our line vs. TCU shows a little respect from Vegas. Also noticed that UCLA (who we know crushed "#7" Texas) is a 27 point favorite over Washington St. at home. That is only a few more points than we were favored by. Just some random thoughts for a Wednesday.

Because we covered last weekend my financial situation has improved greatly. Things to ponder:

1) SMU is 3-1 ATS this season. (They didn't cover Wazoo)
2) Rice is allowing over 60% pass completions.
3) They allow a lot of rushing yards - Line and Company could have a really nice day.
4) Their best weapon (McGuffie) is not matched against our secondary, but the front 7
5) We are not the same program we were 3 years ago. The kids in the old program were never taught to win tough road games like this. History will play a smaller mental role than it has for past teams.

Other Out There Predictions:
1) SMU plays entire 2nd unit defense for a series in the 3rd quarter (like against UAB)
2) McDermott throws for 40+ Yards
3) Pope gets a couple of carries (15yds rushing)
4) Crawford gets a pick
5) Pony Fans will be the vast majority of fans inside the stadium with 10 minutes remaining.

Rice has been pretty strong against the rush so far this season. I thought I saw they were only giving up 3.8 yards per carry. Their DBs get lost sometimes in coverage-certainly against Baylor they had some plays like our DB not named Sterling

Rice is 79th against the run, giving up 4.11 a carry and 163 per game. That is the bottome edge of good to mediocre (top 2/3s).

SMU plays its best pass defense when SMU knows the opposing team will pass. The key there will be getting a lead and putting pressure on the opposing offense to score.

Mindboggling that SMU is currently 31st against the run in the NCAA

You told me that whatever you bet on, you would lose, and I would win. This past weekend, I bet on 10 games, and won 1time (that Ohio State would be up by more than 13.5 after the 1st quarter). Every other game I lost, it was Les Mis.
