Baylor was never as bad as many on here claimed. They've got nice talent all over the field despite the TCU result.

You neglect to mention that KU has a lot of talent as well (at least as much as Baylor does) so the fact that Baylor isn't horrible doesn't change the fact that Gill is in over his head.

June Jones won one game in his first year

June Jones didn't inherit the level of talent than Gill inherited.

KU wasn't a broken program. Mangino wasn't fired for losing - he was fired for opening his mouth one too many times.

how do you figure-they lost their last 7 games last year all in conference. Baylor at least beat Missouri, took Texas Tech to the wire and lost by only 10 to the Big 12 North Championship Nebraska-ALL without Robert Griffin. Its rarely an upset when a Big 12 South team beats a North team playing at home.

It is still a system change. Jones could have won 6 or 7 games his first year with Willis had he wanted, but the program would not have progressed in the direction and in the manner he wanted. You have to give any new coach at least 3 and preferrably 5 years to establish his team unless he is loaded with unquestionable talent.

Last year KU took Mizzou to the wire and lost to Nebraska by 14. Their only bad losses were @ Colorado and @ KSU. Also, this article pretty much makes it clear why Mangino was fired: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/stor ... pn_4711389

This isn't getting beaten, this is getting blown out - by BAYLOR. If you watch the game, you'll notice that Baylor is the better prepared, better coached team, and that's been the difference (teams are relatively equal in talent level).

Gill at Kansas has lost to NDSU and Southern Miss and beaten a bad Georgia Tech team (see Georgia Tech's huge home loss to NCSU) and a hapless NMSU team (KU actually looked decent in that game, but it was primarily a difference in the talent level that led to a huge win).

The problem that Gill is having is that he is just not ready for the big time (not a knock on him, but he only had 4 years of head coaching experience at Buffalo during a time when the MAC was at perhaps its weakest point in history, and was 20-30 in those years). IMO KU should have hired a guy who has had more success and has experienced coaching against better coaches.

I haven't been watching the game because I have Dish. I just know that it really doesn't surprise me Baylor is playing well at home. TCU kicked their [deleted] at home. OK Baylor still ain't that bad with Griffen at QB and could compete for Championships in CUSA. Griffen woulkd probably be CUSA Player of the Year

Go for DirecTV.

34-7 and KU just threw an INT...countdown until it's 41-7 begins now.

The post is about KU not Baylor.

55-7. Most points Baylor has ever scored in a Big 12 game.
