This really sucks. Sounds like an incredible guy who walked the walk and had ironclad principles.

No doubt, this guy was and is a true American hero. In a "me" culture, this guy gave his life for the benefit of others and a belief in his country.
God Bless Him and his family
I heard on the radio this morning that he gave up a 3 yr/$3 million contract to serve our country.....now thats a true hero.
Another article about Pat Tillman:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/m ... ml?cnn=yes A great role model and a man of character.
If only everyone had such principles and priorities. Regardless of your political leanings and your view on the policies now in effect, this was a young man of singular character. My thoughts are with his widow and his family.
This is a tragic event and a national story but let us not forget that every one of our military representatives have sacrificed something to be where they are. All of those that have died are as great a loss to us and especially their families as is the loss of Mr. Tillman. This is not to downplay his loss but rather for us to realize that those nameless faceless soldiers that have preceded him in death and those that are now fighting to bring freedom to those that so desparately want it are also courageous and should be equally remembered in our thoughts and prayers.
Well said, mrydel. There are a lot of families who have suffered the same grief the Tillmans are going through now. Here's hoping for a safe return for all, whenever they come home.
