Per the Houston Chronicle, "For the third straight game, the Owls couldn’t overcome their early offensive ineptitude in a 42-31 loss to SMU in their Conference USA opener before a crowd of
14,981 at Rice Stadium."
Having attended this seems about right, with SMU fans making up about 40% of the total IMO

Actually the Owls didn't play that bad. McGuffie is a hoss. I hope they knock off a few unsuspecting conference teams and help our case for the championship. GO PONIES!!!

Sure would be nice if they could beat UTEP and then their cross-town rival 7-11U.(aka cougar high)

Sam McGuffie's hilight reel is worth a watch. Or a few.
We've never lost the tailgate.

In spite of the inflated attendance numbers at our WSU game, our stands at that game did not look any more attended than Rice last night.
