What's up dudes...Some of you who hung around the old MustangManiacs forum a few years back will remember me. Well today is the last day of classes and I'll be damned if I don't feel great about saying that. Things are going real well for me (and I know you've been up all night tossing over that). I'm currently double-majoring in Political Science and History and minoring in International Studies currently holding a hefty 3.6 GPA! Send the congratulation calls/letters to my folks back in Lone Oak,TX. Just so you know I visit ponyfans several times daily and its taken everything in my power to respond to Stallion's typical banter on one end of the spectrum and the 13-0 BCS champ corner on the other. As a loyal student fan of SMU, I have come here today to issue the following decrees on the 2004 football season. Kurtstrodamus says...
1.After watching a few practices and seeing the spring game I think this will be a productive season. By productive I mean I think we will see a better team on the field each week than the one before it just by playing some of our young guys.
2.I was really impressed w/ Eckert throwing the ball , but I like the different dimensions Phillips gives us w/ his running ability.
3.Foy Munlin is a badass barnone. There will be no drop off at the RB position.
4.Defensively we are a much faster team. We're starting to get a little experience on the defensive line now as well w/ Rogers, Jones, Addami,Bonds,Berry, and Williams all seeing significant playing time last season.
Overall I think we are a significantly better team this year. It's going to be interesting to see how quickly the offense adapts to the new system but it can't be anything worse than last year (knock on wood). The schedule is brutal, were very young, and we have a new offense. These things add up to a tough season in terms of wins and losses but I think we'll see a much more competitive and exciting team in '04.
P.S.
I'll be posting reguarly now to keep you guys in line and up to date on what's up here at school.
