My high school (Klein) played Abilene in the state semifinal last year at Baylor's stadium. They had a few kids who could absolutely FLY. Legit D-1 speed, I'd be thrilled if we got any of them. But they were, curiously enough, not white. Ergo, entirely dissimilar to WW.

KP reminds me of Randall Cunningham when he pulls the ball down and takes off running

Now that is some funny stuff right there.
I think the similarities are obvious. Lets not be so PC that we cant have a normal conversation.

most annoying is any white running back is referred to as either "old school" or "blue collar".

If you were poll 100 football fans and ask them to name an undersized but successful wide receiver, I would guess that at least 75% would say "Wes Welker"
If you were to poll the same fans with "Name a player with a fullbacks body that lined up at tailback" and you'll probably get a three way split between Mike Alstott, William Perry, and John Riggins." (Just a guess here).
Maybe for diversity sake we should mandate that all future comparison to Zach line be "The Refrigerator" lol.

I've heard Beasley is strong but it seems his biggest weakness (besides the occasional drop) is his tendency to get knocked off his routes. Even though Welker is short, he's a stout dude. Another 15 lbs of muscle might be the best thing for Beasley. I'd love to see him in space more often so we could see that 4.4 speed (considerably faster than Welker).

it's incorrect to believe that Welker is bigger than Beas. Beas is 5'9" 180 lbs Welker is 5'9" 185 lbs. http://smumustangs.cstv.com/sports/m-fo ... l-mtt.htmlhttp://www.patriots.com/team/index.cfm?pn=2&ac=playersBeas is supposedly timed faster in the 40 (both HS #s): 4.4 vs 4.5 but, this doesn't seem to be a huge difference. both are fast and shifty. JJ's former receiver, Davone Bess, is of the same body type as both, although clearly slower in the timed 40. but, his quickness off the ball and technique and all that other stuff, has also given him the label of 'possession receiver' -- not a bad thing, as he led the Dolphins in catches last season, and made him one of the leading nfl 3rd-down receivers. I think, Beas compares favorably to both. if he continues to improve in all the areas that everyone has already said, he will do well for us, and have a shot at the pros. my thoughts anyway.

I think, that was reported to be as a consequence of the coaches' suggestion, if I recall correctly (which, I may not be). but, if it was, does that mean the coaches..............? lol.

Or a black quarterback inevitably being compared to Donovan McNabb. This isn't political correctness, folks. It's the direct opposite. It's PC that led us to these types of racial comparisons.

at least, there's a comparison today. remember when James Harris started for the Rams? when being black meant not being qualified to play the position? it wasn't all that long ago. progress...............slow, but progress.
