I sorta remember Randall as being pretty smooth gliding down the field. KP is athletic, but he still looks like a qb running, to me.

I think the KP/Cunningham comparison was sarcasm - at least I hope it was.

Look folks - it is PC to pretend there are not obvious similarities between the running style of two white short quick guys (Welker/Beas) or alternatively the similarities between how a couple of black guys might run. Its just obvious and no need to pretend your eyes dont see what is plainly there.

I think, that's mostly true. but, when I watch Bess play, it looks a lot like Beas, and vice versa (oh yeah, except Bess' lack of speed shows up in the pros, but sweet hands and moves). yeah, and they both remind me of Welker.

Isn't it a sad fact that after all these years there is still racism in sports? Why can't we judge a person strictly on his ability and character as MLK dreamed? What is even worse is that so much of the racism is from the coaches themselves in football. A high school coach told me this that so many of the coaches, especially white ones, don't recruit white cornerbacks or receivers and one was so brazen as to say "he would get fired if he did"! He said the black assistant coaches didn't care and said they were just looking for "football players". It does seem that more receivers who are white are starting to dot NFL rosters but fewer and fewer Div 1 rosters.

not just in sports, it's in all of life.
not too surprising, though. human nature seeks things to divide often -- not always, but often.
Serbs and Bosnians -- can you tell the difference? me neither, but they're at each other's throats, and so are a thousand other groups -- just because someone else is 'different'.
you do what you can to make a difference.

most annoying is any white running back is referred to as either "old school" or "blue collar".

i won't argue with that. i usually just refer to him as "bad-a$$".

Why the hell is race brought into this conversation. A saying is a saying and that's all.

Back to Beasley....

The kid plays hard every game. He has the ability to squeak out a few extra yards on most plays. I love that second effort. I think he will finish with solid numbers.

agree on Beasely.

For those that werent at the game/didnt see it on All-Access, Bradley Haynes had one catch that really stood out. Caught the ball over the middle...in the red zone I believe...and was drilled, absolutely drilled...he spun around, held onto the ball, he went down, defender went down. Haynes popped right up. Defender stayed down.
