Question about using a prevent defenseFirst off, the prevent defense is one of my biggest football irritations. If you're in a situation to use a prevent strategy like we were, then your defense was doing something right with their regular attack during the rest of the game. Why not just stick with what was working to stop the team that you're beating?
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
Potential is nothing, performance is everything.
Re: Question about using a prevent defenseThere is an old saying that the prevent defense will prevent you from winning.

Re: Question about using a prevent defensekeeps your guys on the line from getting too banged up late in the game, keeps the other team from moving the ball downfield w/ big passes, and most importantly forces them into running the ball thereby burning clock to end the game.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Question about using a prevent defenseAt that point, I got the impression that keeping guys from getting banged up was important.
