OK - I'll bite. Yeah, I'm going to the Rangers game. And there's no shame in it at all - didn't have to think twice about it even though it tears me up to miss part of a home game. I wish the games didn't overlap, but they didn't ask me about my schedule. It will break my streak of 15 straight Mustangs football games (yeah, that includes Marshall & Hawaii). But, with the game starting at 4:05 pm, I hope to be at Ford Stadium no later than halftime. I was more worried when initial schedules had first pitch at 5:30pm. About the only thing that would keep me from SMU football is Rangers playoff baseball. And since that opportunity only comes around once every 11 years or so, gotta take advantage. I've never missed a Rangers home playoff game (all 4!) and I'm not starting now. I will subject myself to that fingernails on chalkboard announcer of ours on the radio starting at 7p for kickoff and we'll at Ford ASAP. Go Rangers and Go Mustangs!

Well, when the Twins make it to the ALCS, play the Rangers and there is a conflict on Oct. 23, I may have some hard thinking to do.

Do what ever you want , [deleted] Rangers ha ha ha This year was the first year I ever owned a full season package with parking. While I am glad they made it to the play offs . I would rather listen to your wife talk to me about sales at garden ridge than sit through another game at the ball park in Arlington . Call me hard core..... I don't thnk so. What is wrong with you people ? Ranger Wall of Fame

Other game conflicts are nothing new to me unfortunately. I'm going to the Rangers game and will make the SMU game as soon as I can. I always go when I can, even if just for a half

Unless the Rangers sweep, I'll be fighting the Cowboys traffic on Sunday to go to the game. UGH

Game 3 of the Rangers/Rays series is set for 4:07 CT on Saturday. Since the Rangers haven't been to the playoffs since before Y2K struck fear into our hearts, I would imagine that the game will sell out. What kind of effect will this have on attendance on the vard, and at the SMU game?
Why would that even be a so-called concern? Either you're a Mustang fan and go to the football game or you watch game #165 of America's Wastetime. We've waited longer than 10 years for a conference championship so I say go with the Mustangs in this "dilemma". I doubt there are few, if any, Mustang fans who attend Ranger games on a REGULAR basis.

How I see it: Tulsa, Houston, and UTEP are a 3 game series that we may forced to sweep to have a chance to play for our first conference title since 1984.
To me, that's a bigger milestone. The Rangers have been to the post-season 3 times since 1994. As someone who grew up in Arlington worshiping the Rangers, I understand facing the decision.
Fear not, Rangers fans.... there will be a game 4 on Sunday.

i loathe the rangers. didn't think about it for a nanosecond. beyond me how anyone who calls himself an smu fan could skip this game. no wonder we have attendance problems. even our diehards aren't diehards. go rays!

Talk about a team with negative fans [the rays] I am a huge baseball fan, the Braves, and it would be incredibly hard for me to pass up their playoff games. Although, I did buy tickets to games 3 and 4. I understand the predicament some of you are in.
