It's official...Ike is a Mustang!!!

Postby Stampede » Thu May 06, 2004 5:22 pm

Talked to a good friend who stated Ike has definitley committed to be a SMU Mustang and will positively sign this weekend!!! :D Fantastic news for SMU as Ike is a power forward and will give us some much needed strength inside, can score and can score as Ike is a very good athlete.as well.

The coaches are extremely excited over Ike's commitment and expect really good things out of Ike.

Congrats to the coaches over this "catch" over th Frogs and Aggies.

This is a real good start for SMU basketball. SMU basketball is on the way up :!: :!:

Welcome, Ike!
Great job by coach Tubbs. Just like BUS always says, bring in the big boys...well, that goes for bball as well. I cant wait for the day I see a big man that can dominate the paint for either one of my teams, Ponies or the Mavs. Keep 'em coming.

This is indeed rockin good news. Let me get it straight, I'm a little slow. He's had one year of junior college, is that right? How many years of Pony eligibility are we looking at?

Nice work, Tubbs and staff.

I was going to ask where the scholarship came from but then saw the Bennett post under the bball board. Wonder if this means the coaches are expecting Roberts to come right in and see significant playing time. There is no question another big man can only help. If the big man can play, this looks like a good roster move.

Anyone got a brief bio on the guy? I'm not familiar with him.
Does he play like anyone (college or pro) I might identify?
