Anybody know the reason that ES was inactive for the Steelers - Buccaneers game yesterday? Is he still injured?

you made me wonder, so I found these 2 postings:

"WR Emmanuel Sanders - Sanders sat out with a quad injury last week and it gave fellow rookie wide receiver Antonio Brown a chance to show his wares. Sanders is probably the more versatile and better polished route runner at this point, but the return abilities of Brown can not be ignored. In essence it won the game last week in Tennessee and at the very least set the tone of the game."

"Regarding the Emanuel Sanders vs. Antonio Brown roster spot, Tomlin said Brown certainly made a very convincing argument and a good case for himself, but also laughed and said “I’ve been known to be tough to work with.” I’ll say this: Both guys have made an early impact on special teams. Sanders made two tackles in coverage in Week 1, while Brown, of course, scored a touchdown and had a 20-yard punt return."

the second quote, posted about a week ago, makes me wonder about his roster spot. I thought that there wasn't any question. maybe, they're referring to their place on the depth chart.

just saw this on rotoworld. looks like emmanuel could be on the active roster this week.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he's considering using WR Emmanuel Sanders as a kickoff and punt returner in Week 6.
