For flat out bringing in Cunningham and Manuel as well as assisting Coach Doh in bring in Jones.

Reggie has done well, but I think Doh was primary on Norman, Cunningham & Jones. Either way he gets a huge assist on two of those, and Manuel is all his. Just one more, lets make it count

its amazing what can happen when you don't ignore your own backyard and get recruiters who actually know the area

No doubt, Brown was huge, but both Jones & Cunningham are Doh recruits I'm told. It doesn't much matter anyway, cause they are both doing a fine job

that's just silly. Did Lutz just ignore our backyard for years? Of course not, as evidenced by him pillaging Texas for Creighton. It just took a minute to find a couple of kids w/the stones to shut down the barbershop. Beyond that, our best recruiter by a long shot is Doherty right now. Again, kudos to Brown, not trying poop on his parade, but he's brought one kid to the table, by himself, in 2 full cycles. Last year was all Lutz, this year is mostly Doh.

ponydoh, are you Hoop Man X on the mean green board? I have friends from HS that went to UNT and talk trash, and I am on that board every once in a while. If so, you rep SMU very well dude! they may not act like it, but they are very impressed with our class.

It's a good year for both schools on the recruiting trail. We started with a bang, you guys are closing well just before early signing.

You guys whiffed on a few when Lutz took them up north, we lost out on a jewel when Devonta Abron picked Arkansas over us in his final two.

Not sure what your scholarship count is, but we've still got 4 to give. Even if everyone else comes from out of town, it's a good year locally for everyone.

Don't get me wrong, I hope UALR beats the hell out of you guys. But congrats on a couple of good local pulls. I might not be so gracious if we were aggressively after either of them... But for now, congrats and enjoy the optimism.

Ha, that would be me. I like talking hoops & recruiting, so I never go to their board or any other to trash talk. When they invaded this place, post Jordan Williams, I felt compelled to smack back, but they have some good knowledgeable fans and they should be happy about their recruiting class.
