Two years ago, if I was asked which conference, CUSA, WAC, MWC or Big 12 is the most likely to implode or at least, the most unstable, I probably would have said CUSA. In hindsight we seem to be in the most stable conference and very fortunate to be with those other members.

Not a good idea to go to the MWC.

The Whole Enchilada is going to get reshuffled anyway. I will be mowing my new neighbor Dan Beebe's yard and will get SMU in the Big 12.

Not going to happen and the TV exposure is better in this MWC? I don't stink so....late night west coast games against the likes of those teams isn't likley to raise a pulse out east. The Conferences will do another shuffle or two, but the MWC is NOT the answer.
Stay tight, win football games and get more 4 Star Basketball players signed and the right moves for SMU will evolve.

I also think that CUSA has better bowl tie-ins. In fact, I think CUSA has the best bowl tie ins of all the non-aq conferences. We have volume and decent bowls.

That's probably accurate though it won't take 10 years to catch up to TCU...except for depth, we'll be caught up by the 2012 season. Let's forget about the future for now. We've got our 7th Super Bowl of the year this week in Navy.

Why would Tcu leave the currently 4th ranked conference for the 8th?
